My soul thirsts for God, for the living Mighty God; when shall I come and appear before God?

My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day, Where is your God?

When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me; for I had gone with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping the feast.

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and murmur within me? Hope in God; for I shall praise Him for the deliverance coming from His presence.

O my God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore I will remember You from the land of Jordan, from the summits of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.

Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; all Your waves and Your billows have gone over me.
