i1 [To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] i0 par Blessed is he who gives attention to the poor; Jehovah will deliver him in the time of evil.

Jehovah will watch over him and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed on the earth; and You will not deliver him to the soul of his enemies.
[ref]

Jehovah will sustain him on the bed of illness; You will change his bed of sickness.
[ref]
4
I said, Jehovah, be merciful unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against You.
[ref]
5
My enemies speak evil of me, saying, When will he die, and his name perish?
[ref]

And when he comes to see me, he speaks vanity; his heart gathers iniquity to itself; he goes out and speaks of it.
[ref]

All those who hate me whisper against me; they plot evil against me.
[ref]

They say, A wicked thing is poured out upon him, and now that he lies down, he shall rise up no more.

Even the man of peace in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

But You, O Jehovah, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, so that I may repay them.

By this I know that You delight in me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.

As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, and set me before Your face forever.
