Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:

How long till you put an end to words? Consider, and afterward we will speak.
[ref]

Why are we counted as beasts, and considered vile in your eyes?
[ref]

You who tear yourself in anger, shall the earth be forsaken for you? Or shall the rock be removed from its place?
[ref]

The light of the wicked shall be extinguished, and the flame of his fire shall not shine.
[ref]
6
The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp beside him shall be extinguished.
[ref]
7
The steps of his strength shall be shortened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
[ref]
8
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walks into a netting.
[ref]
9
The snare takes him by the heel, and the noose takes hold of him.
[ref]
10
A rope is hidden for him on the ground, and a trap for him in the path.
[ref]
11
Terrors frighten him on every side, and have scattered him to his feet.
[ref]
12
His strength is starved, and calamity is ready at his side.
[ref]
13
It devours parts of his skin; the firstborn of death devours parts of his body.
[ref]

He is drawn out of the security of his tent, and marched before the king of terrors.
[ref]

What is not his dwells in his tent; brimstone is scattered on his dwelling.
[ref]
16
His roots are dried up below, and his branch above is cut off.
[ref]

The memory of him perishes from the earth, and he has no name on the face of the street.
[ref]
18
He is driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
[ref]
19
He has neither offspring nor posterity among his people, nor any survivors in his dwellings.
[ref]

Those in the west are astonished at his day, and those in the east are seized with horror.
[ref]

Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him who does not know the Mighty God.
