This book is the record of the events that Jesus Christ revealed. God gave him this revelation in order to show to his servants what must happen very soon. Christ made these things known to his servant John by sending his angel to him,

Samuel went up to Saul, who greeted him, saying, "The LORD bless you, Samuel! I have obeyed the LORD's command."

Samuel asked, "Why, then, do I hear cattle mooing and sheep bleating?"

Even children show what they are by what they do; you can tell if they are honest and good.

You will know them by what they do. Thorn bushes do not bear grapes, and briers do not bear figs.

A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a poor tree cannot bear good fruit.

So then, you will know the false prophets by what they do.

"To have good fruit you must have a healthy tree; if you have a poor tree, you will have bad fruit. A tree is known by the kind of fruit it bears.

You snakes---how can you say good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

They claim that they know God, but their actions deny it. They are hateful and disobedient, not fit to do anything good.

Praise the LORD! Happy is the person who honors the LORD, who takes pleasure in obeying his commands.

Abraham answered, "I thought that there would be no one here who has reverence for God and that they would kill me to get my wife.

To honor the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil ways and false words.

Be loyal and faithful, and God will forgive your sin. Obey the LORD and nothing evil will happen to you.

After all this, there is only one thing to say: Have reverence for God, and obey his commands, because this is all that we were created for.
