For I tell you, I will never eat it until it is given its full meaning in the Kingdom of God."

I tell you, I will never again drink this wine until the day I drink the new wine with you in my Father's Kingdom."

Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and handed it to them; and they all drank from it.

There they tried to give him wine mixed with a drug called myrrh, but Jesus would not drink it.

But the vine answered, 'In order to govern you, I would have to stop producing my wine, that makes gods and human beings happy.'

and produce wine to make us happy, olive oil to make us cheerful, and bread to give us strength.

Alcohol is for people who are dying, for those who are in misery.

Let them drink and forget their poverty and unhappiness.

I have entered my garden, my sweetheart, my bride. I am gathering my spices and myrrh; I am eating my honey and honeycomb; I am drinking my wine and milk. Eat, lovers, and drink until you are drunk with love!

There is no more happy singing over wine; no one enjoys its taste any more.

People shout in the streets because there is no more wine. Happiness is gone forever; it has been banished from the land.

Here on Mount Zion the LORD Almighty will prepare a banquet for all the nations of the world---a banquet of the richest food and the finest wine.

The LORD says, "Come, everyone who is thirsty--- here is water! Come, you that have no money--- buy grain and eat! Come! Buy wine and milk--- it will cost you nothing!

The LORD Almighty will protect his people, and they will destroy their enemies. They will shout in battle like drunk men and will shed the blood of their enemies; it will flow like the blood of a sacrifice poured on the altar from a bowl.

How good and beautiful the land will be! The young people will grow strong on its grain and wine.

Do not get drunk with wine, which will only ruin you; instead, be filled with the Spirit.

Speak to one another with the words of psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing hymns and psalms to the Lord with praise in your hearts.

I assure you that there are some here who will not die until they have seen the Kingdom of God."

In the same way, when you see these things happening, you will know that the Kingdom of God is about to come.

At the time of those rulers the God of heaven will establish a kingdom that will never end. It will never be conquered, but will completely destroy all those empires and then last forever.

And so I tell you, Peter: you are a rock, and on this rock foundation I will build my church, and not even death will ever be able to overcome it.

And he went on to say, "I tell you, there are some here who will not die until they have seen the Kingdom of God come with power."

He was a prophet, and he knew what God had promised him: God had made a vow that he would make one of David's descendants a king, just as David was.

God has raised this very Jesus from death, and we are all witnesses to this fact.

For it was not David who went up into heaven; rather he said, 'The Lord said to my Lord: Sit here at my right side

"All the people of Israel, then, are to know for sure that this Jesus, whom you crucified, is the one that God has made Lord and Messiah!"

He rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us safe into the kingdom of his dear Son,
