Listen, everyone who lives on earth! Look for a signal flag to be raised on the mountaintops! Listen for the blowing of the bugle!

Let everyone near and far hear what I have done and acknowledge my power."

God says, "Be silent and listen to me, you distant lands! Get ready to present your case in court; you will have your chance to speak. Let us come together to decide who is right.

Summon the nations to come to the trial. Which of their gods can predict the future? Which of them foretold what is happening now? Let these gods bring in their witnesses to prove that they are right, to testify to the truth of their words.

Listen to me, distant nations, you people who live far away! Before I was born, the LORD chose me and appointed me to be his servant.

Listen, you kings! Pay attention, you rulers! I will sing and play music to Israel's God, the LORD.

So may all your enemies die like that, O LORD, but may your friends shine like the rising sun! And there was peace in the land for forty years.

Hear this, everyone! Listen, all people everywhere,

great and small alike, rich and poor together.

The Almighty God, the LORD, speaks; he calls to the whole earth from east to west.

Say to all the nations, "The LORD is king! The earth is set firmly in place and cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with justice."

He said to them, "Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all people.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.

"If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches! "To those who win the victory I will give the right to eat the fruit of the tree of life that grows in the Garden of God.

The LORD said, "Earth and sky, listen to what I am saying! The children I brought up have rebelled against me.

I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that, if you disobey me, you will soon disappear from the land. You will not live very long in the land across the Jordan that you are about to occupy. You will be completely destroyed.

"Earth and sky, hear my words, listen closely to what I say.

O land, land, land! Listen to what the LORD has said:

Listen to the LORD's case against Israel. Arise, O LORD, and present your case; let the mountains and the hills hear what you say.

You mountains, you everlasting foundations of the earth, listen to the LORD's case! The LORD has a case against his people. He is going to bring an accusation against Israel.

The world and all that is in it belong to the LORD; the earth and all who live on it are his.

For, as the scripture says, "The earth and everything in it belong to the Lord."
