and cried out as they saw the smoke from the flames that consumed her: "There never has been another city like this great city!"

Again they shouted, "Praise God! The smoke from the flames that consume the great city goes up forever and ever!"

He looked down at Sodom and Gomorrah and the whole valley and saw smoke rising from the land, like smoke from a huge furnace.

The sinful people of Zion are trembling with fright. They say, "God's judgment is like a fire that burns forever. Can any of us survive a fire like that?"

It will burn day and night, and smoke will rise from it forever. The land will lie waste age after age, and no one will ever travel through it again.

"I will give warnings of that day in the sky and on the earth; there will be bloodshed, fire, and clouds of smoke.

and in Hades, where he was in great pain, he looked up and saw Abraham, far away, with Lazarus at his side.

The four living creatures sing songs of glory and honor and thanks to the one who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever. When they do so,

the twenty-four elders fall down before the one who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever. They throw their crowns down in front of the throne and say,

And I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, in the world below, and in the sea---all living beings in the universe---and they were singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be praise and honor, glory and might, forever and ever!"

The four living creatures answered, "Amen!" And the elders fell down and worshiped.

saying, "Amen! Praise, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might belong to our God forever and ever! Amen!"

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The power to rule over the world belongs now to our Lord and his Messiah, and he will rule forever and ever!"

Then the Devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had already been thrown; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

There shall be no more night, and they will not need lamps or sunlight, because the Lord God will be their light, and they will rule as kings forever and ever.

You, LORD, will be king forever and ever."

The LORD is king forever and ever. Those who worship other gods will vanish from his land.

I will proclaim your greatness, my God and king; I will thank you forever and ever.

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Away from me, you that are under God's curse! Away to the eternal fire which has been prepared for the Devil and his angels!

These, then, will be sent off to eternal punishment, but the righteous will go to eternal life."

About the Son, however, God said: "Your kingdom, O God, will last forever and ever! You rule over your people with justice.

You will find no peace anywhere, no place to call your own; the LORD will overwhelm you with anxiety, hopelessness, and despair.

But evil people are like the restless sea, whose waves never stop rolling in, bringing filth and muck.

"Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.

So if your hand makes you lose your faith, cut it off ! It is better for you to enter life without a hand than to keep both hands and go off to hell, to the fire that never goes out.

And if your foot makes you lose your faith, cut it off ! It is better for you to enter life without a foot than to keep both feet and be thrown into hell.

And if your eye makes you lose your faith, take it out! It is better for you to enter the Kingdom of God with only one eye than to keep both eyes and be thrown into hell.

"Everyone will be purified by fire as a sacrifice is purified by salt.

So he called out, 'Father Abraham! Take pity on me, and send Lazarus to dip his finger in some water and cool off my tongue, because I am in great pain in this fire!'
