Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will live, even though they die;

Jesus answered him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me.

But these have been written in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through your faith in him you may have life.

You killed the one who leads to life, but God raised him from death---and we are witnesses to this.

so that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that I live now, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.

From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God's will, sent to proclaim the promised life which we have in union with Christ Jesus---

We write to you about the Word of life, which has existed from the very beginning. We have heard it, and we have seen it with our eyes; yes, we have seen it, and our hands have touched it.

When this life became visible, we saw it; so we speak of it and tell you about the eternal life which was with the Father and was made known to us.

Whoever has the Son has this life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

"If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches! "To those who win the victory I will give the right to eat the fruit of the tree of life that grows in the Garden of God.

The angel also showed me the river of the water of life, sparkling like crystal, and coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb

Happy are those who wash their robes clean and so have the right to eat the fruit from the tree of life and to go through the gates into the city.

to obey your orders and keep them faithfully until the Day when our Lord Jesus Christ will appear.

And now there is waiting for me the victory prize of being put right with God, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day---and not only to me, but to all those who wait with love for him to appear.

as we wait for the blessed Day we hope for, when the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ will appear.

In the same manner Christ also was offered in sacrifice once to take away the sins of many. He will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are waiting for him.

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the glorious crown which will never lose its brightness.

Yes, my children, remain in union with him, so that when he appears we may be full of courage and need not hide in shame from him on the Day he comes.

My dear friends, we are now God's children, but it is not yet clear what we shall become. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he really is.

But I will see you, because I have done no wrong; and when I awake, your presence will fill me with joy.

You guide me with your instruction and at the end you will receive me with honor.

The Sovereign LORD will destroy death forever! He will wipe away the tears from everyone's eyes and take away the disgrace his people have suffered throughout the world. The LORD himself has spoken.

When it happens, everyone will say, "He is our God! We have put our trust in him, and he has rescued us. He is the LORD! We have put our trust in him, and now we are happy and joyful because he has saved us."

Then God's people will shine like the sun in their Father's Kingdom. Listen, then, if you have ears!

And it is the will of him who sent me that I should not lose any of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them all to life on the last day.

For what my Father wants is that all who see the Son and believe in him should have eternal life. And I will raise them to life on the last day."

And after I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to myself, so that you will be where I am.

"Father! You have given them to me, and I want them to be with me where I am, so that they may see my glory, the glory you gave me; for you loved me before the world was made.

When buried, it is ugly and weak; when raised, it will be beautiful and strong.

And this small and temporary trouble we suffer will bring us a tremendous and eternal glory, much greater than the trouble.

He will change our weak mortal bodies and make them like his own glorious body, using that power by which he is able to bring all things under his rule.

then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

when he comes on that Day to receive glory from all his people and honor from all who believe. You too will be among them, because you have believed the message that we told you.

In this way the name of our Lord Jesus will receive glory from you, and you from him, by the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.

To him who is able to keep you from falling and to bring you faultless and joyful before his glorious presence---
