The crowd was so large that Jesus told his disciples to get a boat ready for him, so that the people would not crush him.

He had healed many people, and all the sick kept pushing their way to him in order to touch him.

And whenever the people who had evil spirits in them saw him, they would fall down before him and scream, "You are the Son of God!"

They all were filled with fear and praised God. "A great prophet has appeared among us!" they said; "God has come to save his people!"

This news about Jesus went out through all the country and the surrounding territory.

At that very time Jesus healed many people from their sicknesses, diseases, and evil spirits, and gave sight to many blind people.

He answered John's messengers, "Go back and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind can see, the lame can walk, those who suffer from dreaded skin diseases are made clean, the deaf can hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is preached to the poor.

The men who had been taking care of the pigs ran away and spread the news in the town and among the farms. People went out to see what had happened,

and when they came to Jesus, they saw the man who used to have the mob of demons in him. He was sitting there, clothed and in his right mind; and they were all afraid.

So Jesus said to her, "Because of that answer, go back home, where you will find that the demon has gone out of your daughter!"

In the synagogue was a man who had the spirit of an evil demon in him; he screamed out in a loud voice,

Luke 9:42
As the boy was coming, the demon knocked him to the ground and threw him into a fit. Jesus gave a command to the evil spirit, healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.
