"Teacher," answered Nathanael, "you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"

and they told the woman, "We believe now, not because of what you said, but because we ourselves have heard him, and we know that he really is the Savior of the world."

And now we believe and know that you are the Holy One who has come from God."

The man answered, "Tell me who he is, sir, so that I can believe in him!"

"I believe, Lord!" the man said, and knelt down before Jesus.

Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!"

In his disciples' presence Jesus performed many other miracles which are not written down in this book.

Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Messiah is a child of God; and whoever loves a father loves his child also.

Seeing this miracle that Jesus had performed, the people there said, "Surely this is the Prophet who was to come into the world!"

The LORD Almighty answers, "I will send my messenger to prepare the way for me. Then the Lord you are looking for will suddenly come to his Temple. The messenger you long to see will come and proclaim my covenant."

"Tell us," they asked Jesus, "are you the one John said was going to come, or should we expect someone else?"

and sent them to the Lord to ask him, "Are you the one John said was going to come, or should we expect someone else?"

When they came to Jesus, they said, "John the Baptist sent us to ask if you are the one he said was going to come, or should we expect someone else?"

This is a true saying, to be completely accepted and believed: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. I am the worst of them,

but God was merciful to me in order that Christ Jesus might show his full patience in dealing with me, the worst of sinners, as an example for all those who would later believe in him and receive eternal life.

We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we know the true God. We live in union with the true God---in union with his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and this is eternal life.
