Moreover David and the commanders of the army separated for the service some of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, for prophesying with harps, lutes, and cymbals. And the number of the skilled men performing their service,

Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah; six; under the hand of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with the harp to give thanks and to praise Jehovah.

All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the Words of God, to exalt his horn; for God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

Jehovah God is my strength, and He makes my feet like does' feet, and He will make me to walk on my high places. To the chief singer, on Neginoth.

For the righteous Jehovah loves righteousness; His face beholds the upright.

He shall receive the blessing from Jehovah, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, and set me before Your face forever.

One shall say, Only in Jehovah do I have righteousness and strength; to Him men shall come. And they shall be ashamed, all who are angry with Him.

In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, JEHOVAH, OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

But out of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who was made for us from God wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption;

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ. As God is exhorting through us, we beseech you on Christ's behalf, Be reconciled to God.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but Jehovah was my support.

He brought me forth also into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.

and have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a broad place.

And He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many shall see it and fear, and shall trust in Jehovah.

Jehovah protects the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me.

O Jehovah, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid; You have loosed my bonds.

Moreover David said, Jehovah, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Go, and Jehovah be with you!

Saul also sent messengers to David's house to watch him and to kill him in the morning. And Michal, David's wife, informed him, saying, If you do not deliver your soul tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.

So Michal let David down through a window. And he went and fled and escaped.

And Saul went on one side of the mountain, and David and his men on the other side of the mountain. And David made haste to get away from Saul, for Saul and his men were encircling David and his men to catch them.

Therefore Saul returned from pursuing David, and went to meet the Philistines; therefore they called that place the Rock of Escape.

Indeed He would have brought you out of the mouth of distress, into a broad place where there is no constraint; and what is set on your table would be full of fatness.

For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened exceedingly, beyond strength, so that we despaired even of life.

who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us, in whom we hope that He will still deliver us,

i1 [To the chief Musician. Altaschith. Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.] i0 par Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me; for my soul trusts in You. Yea, in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities pass by.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord, for I cry out to You daily.

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abounding in mercy unto all those who call upon You.

I know, O Jehovah, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.

Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for Your Law is my delight.

Do not enter into judgment with Your servant, for in Your sight no one living is just.

And Jehovah passed before him and proclaimed: Jehovah, Jehovah Mighty God, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in goodness and truth,

keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons and the sons' sons to the third and the fourth generation.
