Listen to what is wise and try to understand it.

Look for it as hard as you would for silver or some hidden treasure.

It is the LORD who gives wisdom; from him come knowledge and understanding.

Being lazy will make you poor, but hard work will make you rich.

No matter how much a lazy person may want something, he will never get it. A hard worker will get everything he wants.

If you are lazy, you will meet difficulty everywhere, but if you are honest, you will have no trouble.

Work hard at whatever you do, because there will be no action, no thought, no knowledge, no wisdom in the world of the dead---and that is where you are going.

The time is coming when they will say to Jerusalem, "Do not be afraid, city of Zion! Do not let your hands hang limp!

It was nearly five o'clock when he went to the marketplace and saw some other men still standing there. 'Why are you wasting the whole day here doing nothing?' he asked them.

Of course, my friends, I really do not think that I have already won it; the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead.

So I run straight toward the goal in order to win the prize, which is God's call through Christ Jesus to the life above.

So then, my friends, try even harder to make God's call and his choice of you a permanent experience; if you do so, you will never abandon your faith.

In this way you will be given the full right to enter the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
