Perhaps my life's blood is to be poured out like an offering on the sacrifice that your faith offers to God. If that is so, I am glad and share my joy with you all.

Then Jacob said to Joseph, "As you see, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will take you back to the land of your ancestors.

He said to his brothers, "I am about to die, but God will certainly take care of you and lead you out of this land to the land he solemnly promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."

The LORD said to Moses, "Go up the Abarim Mountains and look out over the land that I am giving to the Israelites.

because both of you rebelled against my command in the wilderness of Zin. When the whole community complained against me at Meribah, you refused to acknowledge my holy power before them." (Meribah is the spring at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

" LORD God, source of all life, appoint, I pray, a man who can lead the people

Then the LORD said to Moses, "You do not have much longer to live. Call Joshua and bring him to the Tent, so that I may give him his instructions." Moses and Joshua went to the Tent,

"Now my time has come to die. Every one of you knows in his heart and soul that the LORD your God has given you all the good things that he promised. Every promise he made has been kept; not one has failed.

I am pulled in two directions. I want very much to leave this life and be with Christ, which is a far better thing;

I know that I shall soon put off this mortal body, as our Lord Jesus Christ plainly told me.

I will do my best, then, to provide a way for you to remember these matters at all times after my death.
