about the day you stood in the presence of the LORD your God at Mount Sinai, when he said to me, 'Assemble the people. I want them to hear what I have to say, so that they will learn to obey me as long as they live and so that they will teach their children to do the same.'

Never forget these commands that I am giving you today.

Teach them to your children. Repeat them when you are at home and when you are away, when you are resting and when you are working.

While Ezra was bowing in prayer in front of the Temple, weeping and confessing these sins, a large group of Israelites---men, women, and children---gathered around him, weeping bitterly.

The law of the LORD is perfect; it gives new strength. The commands of the LORD are trustworthy, giving wisdom to those who lack it.

Reverence for the LORD is good; it will continue forever. The judgments of the LORD are just; they are always fair.

They give knowledge to me, your servant; I am rewarded for obeying them.

You study the Scriptures, because you think that in them you will find eternal life. And these very Scriptures speak about me!

and you remember that ever since you were a child, you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed.

"There are some things that the LORD our God has kept secret; but he has revealed his Law, and we and our descendants are to obey it forever.

Come, my young friends, and listen to me, and I will teach you to honor the LORD.

Then keep from speaking evil and from telling lies.
