You must remove the old yeast of sin so that you will be entirely pure. Then you will be like a new batch of dough without any yeast, as indeed I know you actually are. For our Passover Festival is ready, now that Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Let us celebrate our Passover, then, not with bread having the old yeast of sin and wickedness, but with the bread that has no yeast, the bread of purity and truth.

The poor will eat as much as they want; those who come to the LORD will praise him. May they prosper forever!

All proud people will bow down to him; all mortals will bow down before him.

"Come, eat my food and drink the wine that I have mixed.

I have entered my garden, my sweetheart, my bride. I am gathering my spices and myrrh; I am eating my honey and honeycomb; I am drinking my wine and milk. Eat, lovers, and drink until you are drunk with love!

"Listen now, my people, and come to me; come to me, and you will have life! I will make a lasting covenant with you and give you the blessings I promised to David.

Jesus said to them, "I am telling you the truth: if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in yourselves.

For my flesh is the real food; my blood is the real drink.

The living Father sent me, and because of him I live also. In the same way whoever eats me will live because of me.

It follows that if one of you eats the Lord's bread or drinks from his cup in a way that dishonors him, you are guilty of sin against the Lord's body and blood.

So then, you should each examine yourself first, and then eat the bread and drink from the cup.

All ate the same spiritual bread

and drank the same spiritual drink. They drank from the spiritual rock that went with them; and that rock was Christ himself.

The cup we use in the Lord's Supper and for which we give thanks to God: when we drink from it, we are sharing in the blood of Christ. And the bread we break: when we eat it, we are sharing in the body of Christ.

Because there is the one loaf of bread, all of us, though many, are one body, for we all share the same loaf.

You must celebrate this day as a religious festival to remind you of what I, the LORD, have done. Celebrate it for all time to come."

you will tell them that the water of the Jordan stopped flowing when the LORD's Covenant Box crossed the river. These stones will always remind the people of Israel of what happened here."

The LORD does not let us forget his wonderful actions; he is kind and merciful.

Take me with you, and we'll run away; be my king and take me to your room. We will be happy together, drink deep, and lose ourselves in love. No wonder all women love you!

We follow your will and put our hope in you; you are all that we desire.
