You will look for me, but you will not find me, because you cannot go where I will be."

(In saying this he indicated the kind of death he was going to suffer.)

Jesus answered, "The light will be among you a little longer. Continue on your way while you have the light, so that the darkness will not come upon you; for the one who walks in the dark does not know where he is going.

By the living LORD, your God, I swear that the king has made a search for you in every country in the world. Whenever the ruler of a country reported that you were not in his country, Ahab would require that ruler to swear that you could not be found.

and said, "There are fifty of us here, all strong men. Let us go and look for your master. Maybe the spirit of the LORD has carried him away and left him on some mountain or in some valley." "No, you must not go," Elisha answered.

But they insisted until he gave in and let them go. The fifty of them went and looked high and low for Elijah for three days, but didn't find him.

From now on, I tell you, you will never see me again until you say, 'God bless him who comes in the name of the Lord.' "

"Then, if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or 'There he is!'---do not believe it.

For false Messiahs and false prophets will appear; they will perform great miracles and wonders in order to deceive even God's chosen people, if possible.

That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. And you will die in your sins if you do not believe that 'I Am Who I Am'."

Their bodies used to be young and vigorous, but soon they will turn to dust.

You will put them in slippery places and make them fall to destruction!

They are like a dream that goes away in the morning; when you rouse yourself, O Lord, they disappear.

When the wicked die, their hope dies with them. Confidence placed in riches comes to nothing.

Wicked people bring about their own downfall by their evil deeds, but good people are protected by their integrity.

Babies will no longer die in infancy, and all people will live out their life span. Those who live to be a hundred will be considered young. To die before that would be a sign that I had punished them.

If I announce that someone evil is going to die but you do not warn him to change his ways so that he can save his life, he will die, still a sinner, but I will hold you responsible for his death.

If you do warn an evil man and he doesn't stop sinning, he will die, still a sinner, but your life will be spared.

The poor man died and was carried by the angels to sit beside Abraham at the feast in heaven. The rich man died and was buried,

So he called out, 'Father Abraham! Take pity on me, and send Lazarus to dip his finger in some water and cool off my tongue, because I am in great pain in this fire!'

Besides all that, there is a deep pit lying between us, so that those who want to cross over from here to you cannot do so, nor can anyone cross over to us from where you are.'

And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is a delusion and you are still lost in your sins.

It would also mean that the believers in Christ who have died are lost.

In the past you were spiritually dead because of your disobedience and sins.

You will look for me, but you will not find me, because you cannot go where I will be."

My children, I shall not be with you very much longer. You will look for me; but I tell you now what I told the Jewish authorities, 'You cannot go where I am going.'

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Away from me, you that are under God's curse! Away to the eternal fire which has been prepared for the Devil and his angels!

These, then, will be sent off to eternal punishment, but the righteous will go to eternal life."
