Jesus answered him, "So you say. But I tell all of you: from this time on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right side of the Almighty and coming on the clouds of heaven!"

Jesus stood before the Roman governor, who questioned him. "Are you the king of the Jews?" he asked. "So you say," answered Jesus.

"I am," answered Jesus, "and you will all see the Son of Man seated at the right side of the Almighty and coming with the clouds of heaven!"

Pilate questioned him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" Jesus answered, "So you say."

Before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who firmly professed his faith before Pontius Pilate, I command you

"No," Jesus answered, "even though I do testify on my own behalf, what I say is true, because I know where I came from and where I am going. You do not know where I came from or where I am going.

Jesus answered him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me.

I made him a leader and commander of nations, and through him I showed them my power.

From John to the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace be yours from God, who is, who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits in front of his throne,

"To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: "This is the message from the Amen, the faithful and true witness, who is the origin of all that God has created.

Whoever is willing to do what God wants will know whether what I teach comes from God or whether I speak on my own authority.

He who comes from God listens to God's words. You, however, are not from God, and that is why you will not listen."

but you will not believe, for you are not my sheep.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Now that by your obedience to the truth you have purified yourselves and have come to have a sincere love for other believers, love one another earnestly with all your heart.

We know that we have left death and come over into life; we know it because we love others. Those who do not love are still under the power of death.

This, then, is how we will know that we belong to the truth; this is how we will be confident in God's presence.

But we belong to God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever does not belong to God does not listen to us. This, then, is how we can tell the difference between the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we know the true God. We live in union with the true God---in union with his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and this is eternal life.
