Jesus saw her weeping, and he saw how the people with her were weeping also; his heart was touched, and he was deeply moved.

"Go through the whole city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the forehead of everyone who is distressed and troubled because of all the disgusting things being done in the city."

"Mortal man, groan as if your heart is breaking with despair. Groan in sorrow where everyone can watch you.

But Jesus gave a deep groan and said, "Why do the people of this day ask for a miracle? No, I tell you! No such proof will be given to these people!"

Then Abraham buried his wife Sarah in that cave in the land of Canaan.

Then Jacob commanded his sons, "Now that I am going to join my people in death, bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

That is where they buried Abraham and his wife Sarah; that is where they buried Isaac and his wife Rebecca; and that is where I buried Leah.

"Who do you think you are? What right do you have to carve a tomb for yourself out of the rocky hillside?

and placed it in his own tomb, which he had just recently dug out of solid rock. Then he rolled a large stone across the entrance to the tomb and went away.

So they left and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and leaving the guard on watch.
