When he saw Jesus, he gave a loud cry, threw himself down at his feet, and shouted, "Jesus, Son of the Most High God! What do you want with me? I beg you, don't punish me!"

When Simon Peter saw what had happened, he fell on his knees before Jesus and said, "Go away from me, Lord! I am a sinful man!"

But why should we risk death again? That terrible fire will destroy us. We are sure to die if we hear the LORD our God speak again.

So the men of Beth Shemesh said, "Who can stand before the LORD, this holy God? Where can we send him to get him away from us?"

and so that place has been called Perez Uzzah ever since. David was furious because the LORD had punished Uzzah in anger.

Then David was afraid of the LORD and said, "How can I take the Covenant Box with me now?"

She said to Elijah, "Man of God, why did you do this to me? Did you come here to remind God of my sins and so cause my son's death?"

The wicked tell God to leave them alone; they don't want to know his will for their lives.

They think there is no need to serve God nor any advantage in praying to him.

So everyone from the town went out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they begged him to leave their territory.

So they asked Jesus to leave their territory.

So they went and apologized to them; then they led them out of the prison and asked them to leave the city.

wherever people don't welcome you, leave that town and shake the dust off your feet as a warning to them."

Then Jesus and his disciples went on to another village.

But whenever you go into a town and are not welcomed, go out in the streets and say,

'Even the dust from your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against you. But remember that the Kingdom of God has come near you!'

Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me."
