Jesus told them another parable: "The Kingdom of heaven is like this. A man sowed good seed in his field.

The man's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, it was good seed you sowed in your field; where did the weeds come from?'

the Son of Man will send out his angels to gather up out of his Kingdom all those who cause people to sin and all others who do evil things,

"Whoever welcomes you welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.

Jesus went to the territory near the town of Caesarea Philippi, where he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"

"What about you?" he asked them. "Who do you say I am?"

Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me."

I am telling you the truth: whoever receives anyone I send receives me also; and whoever receives me receives him who sent me."

Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, so I send you."

But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

I will be bold and speak only about what Christ has done through me to lead the Gentiles to obey God. He has done this by means of words and deeds,

After all, who is Apollos? And who is Paul? We are simply God's servants, by whom you were led to believe. Each one of us does the work which the Lord gave him to do:

The one who plants and the one who waters really do not matter. It is God who matters, because he makes the plant grow.

In the past God spoke to our ancestors many times and in many ways through the prophets,

How, then, shall we escape if we pay no attention to such a great salvation? The Lord himself first announced this salvation, and those who heard him proved to us that it is true.
