The LORD said to Moses, "Leave this place, you and the people you brought out of Egypt, and go to the land that I promised to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and to their descendants.

Now go, lead the people to the place I told you about. Remember that my angel will guide you, but the time is coming when I will punish these people for their sin."

The LORD said to Moses, "I will do just as you have asked, because I know you very well and I am pleased with you."

I have chosen him in order that he may command his sons and his descendants to obey me and to do what is right and just. If they do, I will do everything for him that I have promised."

The righteous are guided and protected by the LORD, but the evil are on the way to their doom.

Israel, the LORD who created you says, "Do not be afraid---I will save you. I have called you by name---you are mine.

"I chose you before I gave you life, and before you were born I selected you to be a prophet to the nations."

I am the good shepherd. As the Father knows me and I know the Father, in the same way I know my sheep and they know me. And I am willing to die for them.

But the solid foundation that God has laid cannot be shaken; and on it are written these words: "The Lord knows those who are his" and "Those who say that they belong to the Lord must turn away from wrongdoing."
