LORD Almighty, you are ruler of all the earth; you are much greater than all the gods.

The LORD is mighty in Zion; he is supreme over all the nations.

To the LORD the nations are nothing, no more than a drop of water; the distant islands are as light as dust.

The nations are nothing at all to him.

It was made by the one who sits on his throne above the earth and beyond the sky; the people below look as tiny as ants. He stretched out the sky like a curtain, like a tent in which to live.

O LORD,our Lord, your greatness is seen in all the world! Your praise reaches up to the heavens;

Your constant love reaches the heavens; your faithfulness touches the skies.

Show your greatness in the sky, O God, and your glory over all the earth.

"But can you, O God, really live on earth? Not even all of heaven is large enough to hold you, so how can this Temple that I have built be large enough?

The LORD says, "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house, then, could you build for me, what kind of place for me to live in?
