After fifty-two days of work the entire wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the month of Elul.

Over and above all this that I have provided, I have given silver and gold from my personal property because of my love for God's Temple.

LORD God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, keep such devotion forever strong in your people's hearts and keep them always faithful to you.

King Hezekiah and the people were happy, because God had helped them to do all this so quickly.

On the day you fight your enemies, your people will volunteer. Like the dew of early morning your young men will come to you on the sacred hills.

How we thank God for making Titus as eager as we are to help you!

Not only did he welcome our request; he was so eager to help that of his own free will he decided to go to you.

because God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose.
