Hezekiah sent him all the silver in the Temple and in the palace treasury;

So Asa took silver and gold from the treasuries of the Temple and the palace and sent it to Damascus, to King Benhadad of Syria, with this message:

all of which Joseph collected and stored in the cities. In each city he stored the food from the fields around it.
