And Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, Please, put your hand under my thigh,

And Joseph found favor in his eyes, and served him. And he appointed him over his house, and all that he had he entrusted to his hand.

So when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, Call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made administrator over his household, to give them food in due season?

But Ruth said: Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.

So the two of them went until they came to Bethlehem. And it happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that all the city was in a stir because of them; and they said, Is this Naomi?

Thus Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess her daughter-in-law with her, who returned from the land of Moab. Now they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.
