Thus Joshua conquered all the lands of the mountains, and the south and the lowland and the wilderness slopes, and all their kings; he left no one remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as Jehovah the God of Israel had commanded.

Thus Joshua took all this land: the mountains, all the south, all the land of Goshen, the lowland, and the plain; the mountains of Israel and its lowlands,

And it came to pass when all the kings who were by the Jordan, in the hills and in the lowland and in all the coasts of the Great Sea toward Lebanon; the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; heard about it,

On that day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying: To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates;

the Hittites, the Perizzites, the giants,

And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and broad land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

For My Angel will go before you and bring you in to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.

And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite before you.

Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you are fruitful, and have taken possession of the land.

When Jehovah your God brings you into the land which you are going in to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you,

Hear, O Israel: You are crossing over the Jordan today, to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the heavens,
