from men by Your hand, O Jehovah, from men of the world whose portion is in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure. They are satisfied with children, and leave an abundance to their infants.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves dig through and steal;

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.

Jesus said to him, If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me.

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.

When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?

And the King will answer and say to them, Truly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.

Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in Heaven that does not fail, where a thief does not come near nor moth destroys.

And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when it fails, they may receive you into eternal dwellings.

saying: There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.

So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, You still lack one thing. Sell everything that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me.

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap eternal life.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not faint.

As the storm passes, so the wicked is no more; but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

He is like a man building a house, who digs deep and lays the foundation on the rock. And when the flood rises, the stream bursts against that house, and cannot shake it, for it is founded on the rock.

But he who hears and does not act is like a man who builds a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream bursts; and immediately it falls. And the ruin of that house is great.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands firm, having this seal: The Lord knows those who are His, and, Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
