And Joab said to the king, Now may Jehovah your God add to the people a hundred times more than there are, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king desire this thing?

And Joab answered, May Jehovah make His people a hundred times more than they are. But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? Why then does my lord desire this thing? Why should he be a cause of guilt to Israel?

Jehovah shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

And He brought him outside and said, Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to number them. And He said unto him, So shall your seed be.

that in blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore. And your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies.

And I will make your seed multiply as the stars of the heavens; I will give to your seed all these lands; and in your Seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;

by the Mighty God of your father who will help you, and by the Almighty who will bless you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb.

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your seed, and they shall always possess it.

Thus they shall put My name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them.

And God said to Balaam, You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.
