And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb;

And hope does not make ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

For we were saved by hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?

And Naomi said, Turn back, my daughters; why will you go with me? Are there yet sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

would you wait for them till they were grown? Would you restrain yourselves from having husbands? No, my daughters; for it grieves me very much for your sakes that the hand of Jehovah has gone out against me!

Hope postponed makes the heart sick, but when desire comes to pass it is a tree of life.

While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be afraid; only believe.

And Zacharias said to the angel, By what shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.

Therefore be of good cheer, men, for I believe God, that it will be just as it was told me.

And He brought him outside and said, Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to number them. And He said unto him, So shall your seed be.

And he believed in Jehovah, and He accounted it unto him for righteousness.
