Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask for them back.

You shall lend to give to him, and your heart shall not tremble to give to him; because for this thing Jehovah your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.

Blessed be Jehovah the God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this into the king's heart, to beautify the house of Jehovah in Jerusalem,

and has extended mercy to me before the king and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty rulers. So I was encouraged, as the hand of Jehovah my God was upon me; and I gathered chief men of Israel to go up with me.

If I have withheld from the poor their desire, or caused the eyes of the widow to fail,

(when from my youth, as a father I have raised him, and from my mother's womb I guided her);

Honor Jehovah with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all your increase,

The blessing of Jehovah, it makes rich, with no sorrow added.

He who has pity upon the poor lends to Jehovah, and He will make compensation for what he has given.

He who has a beneficent eye shall be blessed; for he gives of his bread to the poor.

Cast your bread upon the waters; for you shall find it after many days.

Give a share to seven, and also to eight; for you do not know what evil shall be on the earth.

And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.

but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack; that there may be equality.

As it is written, He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound for every good work.

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

and return upon our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach with which they have reproached You, O Lord.

If a false witness rises up against any man to testify against him regarding apostasy,

And the judges shall investigate thoroughly, and indeed, if the witness is a false witness, who has testified falsely against his brother,

And those who remain shall hear and fear, and thereafter they shall not again commit such evil among you.

And Adoni-Bezek said, Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off used to gather scraps under my table; as I have done, so God has repaid me. Then they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath was pacified.

but when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letter that this evil plot which Haman had devised against the Jews should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with a perfect man You will show Yourself perfect;

with the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the crooked You will show Yourself twisted.

i1 [To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] i0 par Blessed is he who gives attention to the poor; Jehovah will deliver him in the time of evil.

Jehovah will watch over him and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed on the earth; and You will not deliver him to the soul of his enemies.

For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever gauge you measure, it will be measured back to you.

And He said to them, Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.

For judgment will be without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Indeed, mercy rejoices over judgment.

And I heard the angel of the waters saying: You are righteous, O Lord, the One who is and who was and who is to be, because You have judged these things,

for they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink, for they are deserving.
