Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah, for I am weak; O Jehovah, heal me, for my bones are anxious.

I said, Jehovah, be merciful unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against You.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Heal me, O Jehovah, and I shall be healed, save me, and I shall be saved; for You are my praise.

For I will stir up health to you, and will heal you of your wounds, says Jehovah; because they called you an outcast, saying, This is Zion; no one seeks after her.

Behold, I will bring it health and healing, and I will heal them and will show them the abundance of peace and truth.

I will heal their backslidings; I will love them freely; for My anger has turned away from him.

When Jesus heard it, He said to them, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus to himself, God, I thank You that I am not like other men; extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.

And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to Heaven, but beat his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me a sinner!

I was alive once apart from the Law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.

For sin, taking occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.

Has then that which is good become death to me? Let it not be! But sin, that it might appear to be sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I do not wish to do, that I do; moreover, what I hate, that I do.

But now, it is no longer I doing it, but sin that dwells in me.

For the good that I wish to do, I do not do; but the evil I do not wish to do, that I practice.

I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one desiring to do good.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing; and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked;

I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
