Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

And blessed is he who does not stumble because of Me.

But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;

Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.

Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor has stood in the way of sinners, nor has sat in the seat of the scornful.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Praise YAH! Blessed is the man who fears Jehovah, who delights greatly in His Commandments.

ALEPH: Blessed are the upright in the way, who walk in the Law of Jehovah.

Blessed are those who keep His Testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart.

Blessed is he who has the Mighty God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,

Now therefore listen to me, O children, for blessed are those who keep my ways.

And so Jehovah waits to be gracious to you. And therefore He is exalted, that He may have mercy on you; for Jehovah is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

And He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.

Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. For behold, your reward is great in Heaven, for in the same way their fathers did to the prophets.

But He said, No; rather, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it.

just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God accounts righteousness apart from works:

blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not account sin.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

And he said to me, Write: Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he says to me, These are the true sayings of God.

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the Tree of Life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank You, Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to babes.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who then is greater in the kingdom of Heaven?

and said, Truly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of Heaven.

and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt;

then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember; and I will remember the land.

And you shall remember that Jehovah your God has led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

if My people who have been called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from the heavens, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

And when he was in distress, he entreated Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

Also his prayer and his entreaty, and all his sin and unfaithfulness, and the places where he built high places and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled, behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers.

And he did not humble himself before Jehovah, as his father Manasseh had humbled himself, but Amon exceeded his guilt.

Because your heart has been tender, and you humbled yourself before God when you heard His Words against this place and against its inhabitants, and you humbled yourself before Me, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you, says Jehovah.

Therefore I despise myself, and have repented in dust and ashes.

Jehovah is near to those of a broken heart, and saves such as are of a contrite spirit.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

It is better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoils with the proud.

A man's pride shall bring him low; but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.

For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and consecrated place, even with the contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

For all those My hand has made, and all those exist, says Jehovah. But to this one will I have regard: To the lowly and contrite of spirit, and the one who trembles at My Word.

I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself, saying, You have chastised me, and I was chastised, like an untrained bull; draw me back, and I shall return. For You are Jehovah my God.

Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? For as often as I spoke against him, I call to mind and remember him still. Therefore My heart is stirred for him; I will have mercy and compassion upon him, says Jehovah.

And he was driven from the sons of men. And his heart was made like the animals, and his home was with the wild asses. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the heavens, until he knew that the Most High God is Ruler in the kingdom of men, and that He appoints over it whomever He desires.

And you, his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this.

O man, He has declared to you what is good. And what does Jehovah require of you, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free with deliverance those who are oppressed;

And He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

but the rich in his humiliation, because as the flower of the field he will pass away.

Lament and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to shame.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near!

And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of Heaven.

But when Jesus saw it, He was indignant and said to them, Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
