Peter said to Him, Even if all are made to stumble, yet not I.

But he said to Him, Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.

Simon Peter said to Him, Lord, where are You going? Jesus answered him, Where I am going you are not able to follow Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward.

Jesus answered him, Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you will deny Me three times.

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these? He said to Him, Yes, Lord; You know that I am deeply fond of You. He said to him, Feed My lambs.

My steps have been upheld in Your paths, so that my footsteps have not slipped.

Uphold me according to Your Word, that I may live; and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

Sustain me, and I shall be safe, and I will gaze upon Your Statutes continually.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

It is better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoils with the proud.

Most men will proclaim each one his own goodness, but who can find a faithful man?

He who is of a proud soul stirs up strife; but he who puts his trust in Jehovah shall be made fat.

He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks wisely shall be delivered.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, leading the way before one another in honor;

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or self-glory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others as surpassing himself.

Likewise you that are younger, be subject to your elders. Yes, all of you be subject to one another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
