And the south side, toward the south, shall be from Tamar to the waters of Meribah by Kadesh, along the brook to the Great Sea. This is the south side, toward the South.

And some came and reported to Jehoshaphat, saying, A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar (which is En Gedi).

And the children of Israel, the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month, and the people stayed in Kadesh; and Miriam died there and was buried there.

These were the waters of Meribah, because the children of Israel strove with Jehovah, and He was sanctified among them.

They angered Him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses on account of them;

On that day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying: To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates;

the border shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and it shall end at the Sea.

from Sihor, before Egypt, to the border of Ekron northward (which is counted as Canaanite); the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites, the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites;

And it shall be in that day that Jehovah will thresh from the flowing stream to the river of Egypt, and you shall be gathered one by one, O children of Israel.

And this shall be the border of the land on the north: from the Great Sea, by the road to Hethlon, as one goes to Zedad,

And the south side, toward the south, shall be from Tamar to the waters of Meribah by Kadesh, along the brook to the Great Sea. This is the south side, toward the South.

And the west side shall be the Great Sea, from the southern boundary until one comes to a point opposite Hamath. This is the west side.
