The light of the wicked shall be extinguished, and the flame of his fire shall not shine.

The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp beside him shall be extinguished.

The light of the righteous rejoices, but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.

For the day is near, even the day of Jehovah is near; it will be a day of clouds, the time of the nations.

At Tahpanhes the day shall also be darkened, when I break the yokes of Egypt there. And her arrogant strength shall come to an end in her; as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Jehovah.

The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their brightness.

And it shall be in that day, declares the Lord Jehovah, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the light of day.

And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its untimely figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
