Because I will cut off both the righteous and the wicked from you, therefore My sword shall go out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north,

that all flesh may know that I, Jehovah, have drawn My sword out of its sheath; it shall not return anymore.

O sword of Jehovah, how long will it be until you are quiet? Put yourself into your sheath; rest and be still.

How can it be quiet, since Jehovah has given it a command? He has appointed it there against Ashkelon, and against the seashore.

And I will judge you as women who commit adultery or who shed blood are judged; I will bring blood upon you in fury and jealousy.

You have been in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created.

You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you.

And I will also judge the nation whom they serve; and afterward they shall come out with great possessions.

and say, Thus says the Lord Jehovah to Jerusalem: Your origin and your birth are from the land of Canaan; your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite.

As for your birth, on the day you were born your navel cord was not cut, nor were you washed in water to cleanse you; you were not rubbed with salt nor wrapped in swaddling cloths.
