With my whole heart have I sought You; O let me not wander from Your Commandments!

Extend my heart to Your Testimonies, and not to unjust gain.

Let not my heart be inclined to evil speech, to practice wicked deeds with men who do iniquity; and let me not eat of their delicacies.

For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, who separates himself from Me and sets up his idols in his heart and puts before his face the stumbling block of his iniquity, and comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I Jehovah will answer him by Myself.

And if the prophet is induced to speak anything, I Jehovah have induced that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from the midst of My people Israel.

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed.

But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass through; for Jehovah your God had made his spirit stubborn and hardened his heart, that He might deliver him into your hand, as it is this day.

For it was of Jehovah to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that He might utterly destroy them, and that they might receive no mercy, but that He might destroy them, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, that they should not see with their eyes, that they should not understand with their hearts and be turned, and I should heal them.

Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.

No, rather, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, Why have you made me like this?

And when it rested, he said: Return, O Jehovah, to the multitudes of the thousands of Israel.

Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, the scepter of Your inheritance which You have redeemed; this mount Zion in which You have dwelt.

Return, we beseech You, O God of Hosts; look down from Heaven and look upon and visit this vine,

Return, O Jehovah! How long? And have compassion on Your servants.

Then the Angel of Jehovah answered and said, O Jehovah of Hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem, and on the cities of Judah, against which You have had indignation these seventy years?
