After these things the Word of Jehovah came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.

And Abram said, Lord Jehovah, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the son of the inheritance of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and it had ceased to be after the manner of women with Sarah.

And Jehovah said to Abraham, Why has Sarah laughed, saying, Shall I surely give birth, I who have become old?

And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the River, led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed and gave him Isaac.

What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh?

For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted unto righteousness,

Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

who, against hope, believed in hope, so that he might become the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, So shall your seed be.

he did not hesitate at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

And therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness.

but also for us, to whom it shall be accounted, believing in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

Now Jehovah said to Abram: Depart from your land, from your kindred and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you.

I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who despises you; and in you all families of the earth shall be blessed.

And after Lot had separated from him, Jehovah said to Abram: Lift up your eyes now and look from the place where you are, northward, southward, eastward, and westward;

And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could count the dust of the earth, then your seed also could be numbered.

And behold, the Word of Jehovah came unto him, saying, This one shall not inherit from you, but one who shall come forth from your own body shall inherit from you.

And He brought him outside and said, Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to number them. And He said unto him, So shall your seed be.

that in blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore. And your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies.

Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and Jehovah had blessed Abraham in all things.

Jehovah has blessed my master greatly, and he has become great; and He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female servants, and camels and donkeys.

You are Jehovah God, who chose Abram, and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans, and placed upon him the name Abraham;

You found his heart faithful before You, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, and the Girgashites; to give it to his seed. You have performed Your words, for You are just.

Son of man, they who inhabit the ruins in the land of Israel are saying, Abraham was one, and he took possession of the land. But we are many; the land is given to us as a possession.

So then those who are of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

But that no one is justified by the Law in the sight of God is evident; for, The just shall live by faith.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree),

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not understanding where he was going.

for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude; innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.
