But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.

You have known My reproach, and My shame, and My dishonor; My enemies are all before You.

Reproach has broken My heart, and I am full of heaviness. I looked for someone to show pity, but there was no one; and for comforters, but I found none.

Remember, O Lord, the reproachs of Your Servant, which I bear in My bosom, of all the many peoples,

with which Your enemies have reproached, O Jehovah, with which they have reproached the heel of Your Anointed.

Thus says Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, His Holy One, to Him whom man despises, to Him whom the nation loathes, the Servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise, rulers also shall bow down, because of Jehovah who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose You.

Truly He has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pain; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads

Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said,

He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, I am the Son of God.

For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.

Still others had trial of mockings and floggings, yes, and of bonds and imprisonment.

Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.

If you are reproached for the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. According to them He is blasphemed, but according to you He is glorified.

My lovers and my friends stand at a distance from my plague; and my relatives stand afar off.

They say, A wicked thing is poured out upon him, and now that he lies down, he shall rise up no more.

Even the man of peace in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

You have removed my acquaintances far from me; You have made me an abomination to them; I am shut up, and I cannot go out;

Lover and friend You have removed far from me, and my acquaintances into darkness.

He has removed my brothers far from me, and my acquaintances are completely estranged from me.

My relatives have left, and my close friends have forgotten me.

For even your brothers and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you. Yea, they have called out a multitude after you. Do not believe them, though they speak pleasant things to you.

for the son dishonors the father; the daughter rises up against her mother; the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

And brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and put them to death.

And you will be hated by everyone on account of My name. But he who endures to the end will be kept safe.

So they shall stumble over their own tongues; everyone who sees them shall flee away.

Surely now you are nothing; you see terror and are afraid.

Or, Deliver me from the hand of the adversary? Or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?

But all this is happening that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.

Then he began to curse and swear, saying, I do not know the Man! And immediately a rooster crowed.

At my first defense no one stood with me, but all deserted me. May it not be reckoned against them.
