Let them be ashamed and abashed together, those who rejoice over my adversity. Let them be clothed with shame and reproach who magnify themselves against me.

For I said, Hear me, lest they rejoice over me; lest, when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.

By this I know that You delight in me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.

For it is not an enemy who reproaches me, then I could bear it. It is not one who hates me who magnified himself against me, or I would hide myself from him;

Do not rejoice against me, O my enemy; for if I fall, I shall arise. For if I sit in darkness, Jehovah is a light to me.

They shall have this for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of Jehovah of Hosts.

Jehovah also shall save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not be magnified above Judah.

And her rival also provoked her to vexation, to make her tremble, because Jehovah had closed up her womb.

And they said to me, The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.

And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothing; only let us be called by your name, to take away our reproach.

Thus the Lord has done with me, in the days when He looked on me, to take away my reproach among people.

And Jesus answered and said to them, Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things?

Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem?

And His disciples asked Him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?

They answered and said to him, You were born completely in sins, and do you teach us? And they drove him out.
