Remember now, who ever perished being innocent? Or where were the upright ever cut off?

Even as I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.

By the breath of God they perish, and by the breath of His nostrils they are destroyed.

The roaring of the lion, the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions are broken.

The old lion perishes for lack of prey, and the cubs of the lioness are scattered.

Call out now. Is there anyone who will answer you? And to which of the holy ones will you turn?

For anger kills a foolish man, and jealousy slays a simple one.

I have seen the foolish taking root, but suddenly I cursed his dwelling place.

His sons are far from safety, they are crushed in the gate, and there is no one to rescue them.

The hungry eat up his harvest, taking it even from the thorns, and a snare snatches their wealth.

It devours parts of his skin; the firstborn of death devours parts of his body.

He is drawn out of the security of his tent, and marched before the king of terrors.

What is not his dwells in his tent; brimstone is scattered on his dwelling.

His roots are dried up below, and his branch above is cut off.

The memory of him perishes from the earth, and he has no name on the face of the street.

He is driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19
He has neither offspring nor posterity among his people, nor any survivors in his dwellings.
20
Those in the west are astonished at his day, and those in the east are seized with horror.
21
Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him who does not know the Mighty God.
Job 21:27-34

Behold, I know your thoughts, and the plots with which you would do me wrong.
28
For you say, Where is the house of the noble one? And where is the tent, the dwelling place of the wicked?
29
Have you not asked those who pass along the road? And do you not know their trademarks?
30
For the wicked are reserved for the day of calamity; they shall be brought out on the day of wrath.
31
Who declares his way to his face? And who repays him for what he has done?
32
Yet he shall be brought to the grave, and a vigil kept over the tomb.
33
The clods of the valley shall be sweet to him; everyone shall drag along after him, as countless ones before him.
34
How then do you comfort me with vanity, since treachery remains in your answers?
Job 22:6-30

For you have taken a pledge from your brother for no reason, and stripped the naked of their clothing.

You have not given the weary water to drink, and you have withheld bread from the hungry.
8
But the man of strength possesses the land, and the honorable man dwells in it.
9
You have sent widows away empty, and crushed the arms of the fatherless.

Therefore snares are all around you, and sudden dread terrifies you;
11
or darkness so that you cannot see; and an abundance of water covers you.
12
Is not God in the height of the heavens? And see the highest stars, how lofty they are!
13
And you say, What does the Mighty God know? Can He judge through the deep darkness?
14
Thick clouds cover Him, so that He cannot see, and He walks above the circle of the heavens.
15
Will you keep to the old way which wicked men have trod,
16
who were snatched away before their time, whose foundations were poured out by the flood?
17
They said to the Mighty God, Depart from us! What can the Almighty do to them?
18
Yet He filled their houses with good things. But the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
19
The righteous see it and are glad, and the innocent have them in derision:
20
Surely, are not our adversaries cut down; and the fire consumes their remnant.
21
Now be useful to Him, and be at peace; thereby good shall come to you.
22
Receive, now, the Law from His mouth, and lay up His Words in your heart.
23
If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up; you shall remove injustice far from your tents.
24
Then you shall lay up your gold as the dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
25
Yea, the Almighty will be your gold and your esteemed silver;
26
for then you shall have your delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face unto God.
27
You shall make your supplication to Him, He will hear you, and you shall make good your vows.
28
You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be confirmed for you; and light shall shine on your ways.
29
When you have been made low, then you will say in your heart, It was pride. Then He will save the lowly of eyes.
30
He will deliver one who is not innocent; yea, he will deliver by the purity of your hands.
