And He brought him outside and said, Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to number them. And He said unto him, So shall your seed be.

that in blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore. And your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies.

But David did not take the number of those twenty years old and under, because Jehovah had said He would multiply Israel like the stars of the heavens.

And after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah, it came to pass that Jehovah spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying:

Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon I have given to you, as I have said to Moses.

And Jehovah appeared to Abram and said, To your seed I will give this land. And there he built an altar unto Jehovah, who appeared to him.

for all the land which you see I give to you and your seed in perpetuity.

Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.

On that day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying: To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates;

Also I have given unto you and your seed after you the land in which you sojourn, all the land of Canaan, as an enduring possession; and I will be their God.

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your seed I give all these lands. And I will perform the oath which I swore unto Abraham your father.
