And the seven thin and bad cows which came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty heads scorched by the east wind are seven years of famine.

For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are yet five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.

There He makes the hungry dwell, that they may establish a city for a dwelling place,

and sow fields and plant vineyards, that they may yield a fruitful crop.

A good man deals graciously and lends; he will guide his affairs with justice.

He who holds back grain, the people curse him; but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it.

He who tills his land shall be satisfied with bread, but he who follows vanities lacks heart.

There is much food in the cultivated land of the poor, but when there is no justice, it is snatched away.

In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which shall be blessed, either this or that, or whether they both alike shall be good.

Does the plowman plow all day to sow? Does he loosen and harrow his ground?

When he has leveled its surface, does he not scatter the black cumin and sprinkle the cumin, and plant the wheat in rows and mark off the barley and spelt in their boundaries?

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and does not return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made administrator over his household, to give them food in due season?

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for eating, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,
