And she vowed a vow and said, O Jehovah of Hosts, if You will look to see the affliction of Your handmaid and remember me, and not forget Your handmaid, but will give Your handmaid a male child, then I shall give him unto Jehovah all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.

For this boy I prayed, and Jehovah granted me my petition which I have asked of Him.

and call on Me in the day of trouble; and I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.

To You who hears prayer, all flesh comes.

But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

And Sarai said to Abram, See now, Jehovah has restrained me from bearing. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall build up a family by her. And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

And I have blessed her and have given you a son by her; yea, I have blessed her, and she shall become nations; kings of peoples shall be from her.

And Abraham said to God, Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.
