How often does someone catch an enemy and then let him get away unharmed? The LORD bless you for what you have done to me today!

They give knowledge to me, your servant; I am rewarded for obeying them.

People will say, "The righteous are indeed rewarded; there is indeed a God who judges the world."

Wicked people do not really gain anything, but if you do what is right, you are certain to be rewarded.

If it is, you have a bright future.

Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. This is how the prophets who lived before you were persecuted.

"Make certain you do not perform your religious duties in public so that people will see what you do. If you do these things publicly, you will not have any reward from your Father in heaven.

Whoever welcomes God's messenger because he is God's messenger, will share in his reward. And whoever welcomes a good man because he is good, will share in his reward.

No! Love your enemies and do good to them; lend and expect nothing back. You will then have a great reward, and you will be children of the Most High God. For he is good to the ungrateful and the wicked.

Then Jesus said to his host, "When you give a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your rich neighbors---for they will invite you back, and in this way you will be paid for what you did.

and you will be blessed, because they are not able to pay you back. God will repay you on the day the good people rise from death."

Do not allow yourselves to be condemned by anyone who claims to be superior because of special visions and who insists on false humility and the worship of angels. For no reason at all, such people are all puffed up by their human way of thinking

May the Lord grant him his mercy on that Day! And you know very well how much he did for me in Ephesus.

And now there is waiting for me the victory prize of being put right with God, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day---and not only to me, but to all those who wait with love for him to appear.

God is not unfair. He will not forget the work you did or the love you showed for him in the help you gave and are still giving to other Christians.

No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.

He reckoned that to suffer scorn for the Messiah was worth far more than all the treasures of Egypt, for he kept his eyes on the future reward.

He will cover you with his wings; you will be safe in his care; his faithfulness will protect and defend you.

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem! You kill the prophets and stone the messengers God has sent you! How many times I wanted to put my arms around all your people, just as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you would not let me!
