"You saw what I, the LORD, did to the Egyptians and how I carried you as an eagle carries her young on her wings, and brought you here to me.

Like an eagle teaching its young to fly, catching them safely on its spreading wings, the LORD kept Israel from falling.

The LORD alone led his people without the help of a foreign god.

I wish I had wings like a dove. I would fly away and find rest.

But those who trust in the LORD for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.

The woman fled to the desert, to a place God had prepared for her, where she will be taken care of for 1, 260 days.

The Spirit took control of me, and the angel carried me to a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a red beast that had names insulting to God written all over it; the beast had seven heads and ten horns.

But do not measure the outer courts, because they have been given to the heathen, who will trample on the Holy City for forty-two months.

I will send my two witnesses dressed in sackcloth, and they will proclaim God's message during those 1, 260 days."

He will speak against the Supreme God and oppress God's people. He will try to change their religious laws and festivals, and God's people will be under his power for three and a half years.

The angel raised both hands toward the sky and made a solemn promise in the name of the Eternal God. I heard him say, "It will be three and a half years. When the persecution of God's people ends, all these things will have happened."
