"Punish the Midianites for what they did to the people of Israel. After you have done that, you will die."

Praise the LORD! The Israelites were determined to fight; the people gladly volunteered.

Then Samson prayed, "Sovereign LORD, please remember me; please, God, give me my strength just this one time more, so that with this one blow I can get even with the Philistines for putting out my two eyes."

It was to be proclaimed as law and made known to everyone in every province, so that the Jews would be ready to take revenge on their enemies when that day came.

Now, will God not judge in favor of his own people who cry to him day and night for help? Will he be slow to help them?

They shouted in a loud voice, "Almighty Lord, holy and true! How long will it be until you judge the people on earth and punish them for killing us?"

That is why The Book of the LORD's Battles speaks of "...the town of Waheb in the area of Suphah, and the valleys; the Arnon River,

and ordered it to be taught to the people of Judah. (It is recorded in The Book of Jashar.)

While the Amorites were running down the pass from the Israelite army, the LORD made large hailstones fall down on them all the way to Azekah. More were killed by the hailstones than by the Israelites.

Never before, and never since, has there been a day like it, when the LORD obeyed a human being. The LORD fought on Israel's side!

yet their message goes out to all the world and is heard to the ends of the earth. God made a home in the sky for the sun;

The city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God shines on it, and the Lamb is its lamp.
