to tell Aaron, "None of your descendants who has any physical defects may present the food offering to me. This applies for all time to come.

no one who is a hunchback or a dwarf; no one with any eye or skin disease; and no eunuch.

Leviticus 22:22-24

Do not offer to the LORD any animal that is blind or crippled or mutilated, or that has a running sore or a skin eruption or scabs. Do not offer any such animals on the altar as a food offering.

As a freewill offering you may offer an animal that is stunted or not perfectly formed, but it is not acceptable in fulfillment of a vow.

Nehemiah 13:1-3

When the Law of Moses was being read aloud to the people, they came to the passage that said that no Ammonite or Moabite was ever to be permitted to join God's people.

This was because the people of Ammon and Moab did not give food and water to the Israelites on their way out of Egypt. Instead, they paid money to Balaam to curse Israel, but our God turned the curse into a blessing.

When the people of Israel heard this law read, they excluded all foreigners from the community.
