So Ananias went, entered the house where Saul was, and placed his hands on him. "Brother Saul," he said, "the Lord has sent me---Jesus himself, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here. He sent me so that you might see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."

"As I was traveling and coming near Damascus, about midday a bright light from the sky flashed suddenly around me.

"It was for this purpose that I went to Damascus with authority and orders from the chief priests.

It was on the road at midday, Your Majesty, that I saw a light much brighter than the sun, coming from the sky and shining around me and the men traveling with me.

Last of all he appeared also to me---even though I am like someone whose birth was abnormal.

you cover yourself with light. You have spread out the heavens like a tent

He alone is immortal; he lives in the light that no one can approach. No one has ever seen him; no one can ever see him. To him be honor and eternal power! Amen.

The city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God shines on it, and the Lamb is its lamp.

There shall be no more night, and they will not need lamps or sunlight, because the Lord God will be their light, and they will rule as kings forever and ever.
