And then, whoever calls out to the Lord for help will be saved.'

And he has come to Damascus with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who worship you."

All who heard him were amazed and asked, "Isn't he the one who in Jerusalem was killing those who worship that man Jesus? And didn't he come here for the very purpose of arresting those people and taking them back to the chief priests?"

And now, why wait any longer? Get up and be baptized and have your sins washed away by praying to him.'

But all who ask the LORD for help will be saved. As the LORD has said, 'Some in Jerusalem will escape; those whom I choose will survive.' "

This includes everyone, because there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles; God is the same Lord of all and richly blesses all who call to him.

But how can they call to him for help if they have not believed? And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed?

To the church of God which is in Corinth, to all who are called to be God's holy people, who belong to him in union with Christ Jesus, together with all people everywhere who worship our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:

I place myself in your care. You will save me, LORD; you are a faithful God.

Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Father! In your hands I place my spirit!" He said this and died.
